Biopole – Gender considerations in patient care

At this event, we shared three case studies examining how sex influences treatment responses across different diseases. The presentation featured results from two clinical trials—glioblastoma and depression—as well as in vivo findings in multiple sclerosis. Across all cases, the data revealed distinct, sex-dependent differences in therapeutic outcomes, underscoring that disease mechanisms and treatment effects are shaped by fundamentally different biological pathways in men and women.
