Half the people on this planet are women. Yet, Women’s Health remains an area that is under-researched, under-diagnosed and under-treated. It’s time for change. Together, we can make a difference.
The Artemis Women’s Health Foundation creates connections, alignment and collaboration between the key stakeholders required for more and better Women’s Health innovation. Despite a growing demand for change and recent momentum, the pace of innovation in Women’s Health is still painfully slow, also compared to other areas of medicine.
Most large healthcare companies are not actively engaged in Women’s Health research (with the exception of breast and ovarian cancer) or have scaled back their efforts in this field. This means that startup companies will have to drive future innovation in Women’s Health, even more so than in other therapeutic areas. These very startups, however, often lack the necessary support ecosystem required to advance their programs.
Artemis builds a global community of stakeholders, including academia and medicine, startups and corporations, incubators and investment groups, as well as payers and patients. In doing so, Artemis supports innovators on their long and difficult journey, turning scientific insights into novel healthcare solutions.
